Old Members Visit and Sing

On May 21st,  OPMC has a number of visitors who were members of the chorus “back in the day” and who were coming out to work on “Irish Blessing” and “The Lord’s Prayer” in preparation for a service for Lowell Matthew next month.  Showing their faces were:   Phil Langston,  Phil LaPorte, Dave Mcinnis, Bill Bahrt, Mert Thornton, Leighton Clark,  Gary Capouch, and Jim Toepher.     Gary, Phil L, Leighton, and Dave did a really nice job on some quartet songs.   Let’s hope these guys stick around with the chorus.

OPMC Guest Night

Last Tuesday, OPMC held a guest night with good results.   Found a voice part for one of the guys who has been coming for the last few weeks but wasn’t able to get into the right section — now he is happy as a bass.  Two new guys also in the Bass section who we hope had a good enough time to come back and join the group.  Then a Baritone that had been in the chorus some time ago who came back to help that section.   And last but not least one of the guys from the Lead section who has been battling some medical issues was back and sounding strong.
